Ccomplete with an open first floor and authentic teak post construction. The first floor includes a compact kitchen with a gas (propane) stove and electric refrigerator, dining/relaxation area complete with table, chairs and hammock, and a newly renovated teak and tile bathroom with outdoor shower. This floor is open on all sides to the gentle breezes common in this part of Costa Rica. The second floor includes a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed and a comfortable balcony that gives you a shady area during the day and a wonderful view of the Milky Way at night.

This is, quite literally, in the middle of the jungle high above Montezuma on the Nicoya Peninsula on the west coast of beautiful Costa Rica. You are greeted in the morning with a spectacular view of the sun rising right off the end of your bed and the sounds of dozens of different birds and howler monkeys only a few meters away.

Visit us and enjoy the feeling of being on top of a cliff admiring the expansivness of the Pacific Ocean. Surrounded by a calm peace, being hamocked by the sound of the waves and waking up with the sunrise while seeing its rays forming bridges of reflection in un unlimited horizon view. Don't be surprised to see whales migrating from one side to the other! In the night, no artificial light around, allows you to see all the stars making you feel the immensity of our celestial sky.
The house is located on the cliff above Las Manchas white sandy beach, 3 km from the centre of Montezuma, a crucial area called Delicias from where you can easily reach the Cabo Blanco National Park (10 min), the surfing beaches of Malpais and St Teresa (25 min), Cobano (10 min) and of course Montezuma (4 min).
The house is furnished with fully equipped kitchen, one double bed (with the possibility to add an extra single one), bathroom, ocean view shower with hot water and a "delicious" garden in front with deck chair and table with beach umbrella, perfect to enjoy your meals in a tropical garden.
There is also a comfortable sofa on the back side of the house, shaded by a huge bamboo plant, a great spot to enjoy the sunset or the full moon rising. You can also use freely two mountain bikes to explore the rural surroundings.

Location: Upon completing your descent you are at the crossroads of Mal Pais and Santa Teresa, Playa Carmen lies 200 mtrs directly ahead; famous for its beach and consistent surf. Turning right at the crossroads, 100 mtrs into Santa Teresa. Casa Azul lies 40 meters from the beach. Between beach and house are patios, hammocks, gardens and a seductive swimming pool.

Upstairs a large, modern and comfortable two bedroom suite overlooking the pool and beach. Each bedroom has a queen size canopy bed, ceiling fan and cedar wood dresser. The oceanview bedroom has central air and sliding glass door which leads to a balcony. You can sleep at night with the sliding glass door open, screen door shut, ceiling fan on and enjoy the sounds of the surf and view of the stars. The rear bedroom has a sliding window overlooking rear garden and a double door for increased ventilation. This room receives morning sun but it is protected from the hot afternoon rays. The spacious bathroom has hot water, ceramic tile floor and glass block enclosed shower. The dining room/kitchen area has a high ceiling which peaks at a central ventilation tower.
The kitchen has three sliding windows which overlook the pool and ocean. A cedar wood island provides extra workspace and divides kitchen from dining area.
An American oak dining table with comfortable chairs from Nicaragua furnish the dining room. The living room faces the ocean and has a view through a glass wall with a sliding glass door leading to a balcony. This area is furnished with a ceiling fan,
2-piece sofa and a glass coffee table. An inviting stairway leads to the roof terrace.
You will have a private front row seat to analyze the surf; watch the sun as it drops into the Pacific Ocean; observe the night sky and stars, the lited turquoise pool.

The lower level has three hotel rooms, a shared kitchen equipped for cold meals and drinks, a dining table and an outdoor shower. "The Main House"
The second floor of the “Main House” features two large bedrooms with queen beds and vaulted ceilings. These bedrooms each have its own bathroom. Wide garden doors open to a large wood balcony overlooking the beach and ocean. Here you can relax in hammocks, the wicker chaise lounge or work out with the self contained exercise equipment and afterward, take advantage of Montezuma’s expert masseuses on your own private massage table. The first floor features a living area that includes Direct TV, DVD, and a music speaker system inside and out. The fully equipped kitchen has a refrigerator with filtered water and ice maker with extra portable ice machine for entertaining larger groups. There is a gas range and oven. Small appliances include toaster oven, blender, microwave, bread machine and coffee maker. Dishes, glassware, cookware and linens are provided. House has hot water throughout. The first floor bedroom/den is air conditioned and has internet access upon request. This space has a double bed and its own full bath. Additional air circulation is provided inside and out by 10 ceiling fans. The “Main House” is surrounded by a14 foot wide veranda. Outside dining area includes a 4 by 10 foot dining table that accommodates 10 Costa Rican leather rocking chairs. The front veranda features a wicker chaise lounge and hammock for reading and relaxing. The side patio, that faces swimming pool and waterfall have wicker chairs and ottomans. Rear patio provides laundry and pool changing area with half bath. The outdoor kitchen includes bar, with 6 bar stools, a five burner, stainless steal gas BBQ, sink and small refrigerator. This area is shaded with a 20 by 24 foot sun roof. The tile, 2 level swimming pool, fed by a waterfall features a center island with shady palm tree.

"The Rancho"
This lovely, rustic 2 story cabin sleeps up to 6 people.
The 2nd floor features a large loft bedroom overlooking beach and surf. This area has a queen bed and double bed surrounded by beautifully crafted wood floors, walls and ceiling. The first floor has a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, gas range and oven. Small appliances include blender, coffee maker and toaster. Glassware, dishes, cookware and all linens are provided. The inside living area features a large wicker sofa with a built in trundle bed that converts for sleeping 2 people.
The bathroom includes hot water. The front veranda has an eating area with table, comfortable seating, and a BBQ, especially nice for socializing; or just lie in the hammock and watch the waves. The 2 level, tile swimming pool is perfect for small kids as well as adults. Laundry facilities are available for your convenience.

"The Tree House"
This second story living area is perfect for bird watchers and animal lovers alike.
There are two good size bedrooms, each with its own tiled, light and airy bathroom.
Each room has a double bed and surround windows to view monkeys in the trees.
The bedrooms open onto a large covered veranda featuring the outdoor kitchen and dining area. The kitchen includes cook top range, refrigerator and sink. Blender, coffee maker, toaster, cookware, dishes and glassware are provided as well as all linens.
The 2 level, tile swimming pool is perfect for cooling down after a days hike in the jungle or on the beach.
