The
drive from San José to Puntarenas takes about two
hours along the Panamerican road.
In
Puntarenas there are two ferry terminals that connect to
Paquera:
_ the terminal at the northwest
end of the town where the
Naviera Tambor I & II are car/passenger ferries
which do the one our trip to Paquera.
_ the old terminal at the dock
behind the market where the
"Lancha" departs. This lancha is for foot and
bike passengers only. The Lancha connects with the Paquera-Montezuma
bus.
It
is also possible to fly directly from San José
to Playa Tambor, leaving from the international airport,
with Sansa o rNaturAir airlines.

Montezuma to Cabuya
and the
Cabo Blanco National Park
there
is a daily transport service
on a shuttle bus called "buseta",
leaving from the centre of the town.
The service is connected with the bus arriving from
Paquera and Cobano.
